At the tea table, Johnathan felt most uneasy. Being trapped with a Mindreader and a council member was not his idea of fun. After removing his worry doll from his coat and putting it into his briefcase (taking c,are Jeremy should not see what was in there!) he began to check the sigils on his newest bullet, still in his jacket pocket after blessing it in the church font down the street. A small smile of satisfaction turned up the corners of his mouth. "Do not call up that which you cannot put down" He had only gotten this good at his art by being careful what he summoned and knowing far more of banishing to boot. This bullet was just another proof of his skill. He just wished others would understand....

"Agreed. However, being boring and paranoid is what keeps us going indefinitely. That and going mad..... Speaking of which, have you seen that new television programme where they make allegedly people dance badly and call it entertainment. Monstrous I call it. Where's the fun in watching those without talent?"

Darlah frowned a bit. "Well.... I'm a touch superstitious myself, but not over what she was talking about. Werewolves and vampires and such. I didn't realize it was that bad...."
She shook her head, quietly jumping going around the counter. "Well, honestly? Not a thing I only moved here because a friend left me their house in their will."

Jeremy's gaze flicked back to Johnathan for a moment, as he simply nodded briefly, before he wordlessly turned back to Angelina.
As she muttered to herself he let out a very slight chuckle, "My, Angelina... I wasn't aware it was possible to catch you by surprise, besides, you've made enough tea for me to know what it is I enjoy, right?"

"It's cool, betcha Angie's been fillin' ya head with the whole 'People are very superstitious around here' thing. Do you want top know how much profit we make on the protective amulets she sells?" Laura said with a smile. "No one's that superstitious."

Darlah blinked, seeing the glitter go flying.... and the shadow fading away. "I think the rain would do the same thing, wouldn't it?" Sitting on the floor, she rubbed her forehead. "Okay. It's just stress. Juuuust stress." She'd then give a nervous chuckle and look up to Laura. "I'm really sorry, Ma'am."

"Lady...? I think you going nuts... But you ain't rabid... Although I could throw a glass of water at you to check," she said with a wide smile, glancing back at the door and leaning forward so she was level with the counter, blowing off the 'glitter' the shadowy form by the door flickering for a few moments then fading from view.

"It isn't the rain, Miss." Slowly, she scooted from under the counter and slowly peeked over the edge. So far so good. She inched out a liiiittttle more to peek around. "I keep seeing strange things. Weird things. I think that canid might've been rabid. I'm going nuts with all of these shadowy thing-a-ma-jigs com-" She froze mid sentence, stareing at the door. Not that anyone could be seen except for the occasional passer-by and the heavy rain. Perhaps the woman was right. Maybe she was going insane. Granted, it wasn't far from her to really believe in ghosts and spooks and spirits, but it was beyond her to think she was actually seeing any. Then again, who knew. Lots of things were unexplained. And for some strange reason, she kept seeing a shadow lurking about the outside of the store. The poor old couple she passed by probably almost had a heart attack when she turned around and screamed in their faces before running into the store.

Angie grumbled something softly about how they had caught her by surprise once and this was the only time she would ever be fallible thank you very much, opening a couple of the many unlabelled tea caddies.

Johnathan grabbed a hold of his briefcase, making sure it was settled comfortably in his lap with the latches facing towards him. "I imagine not Jeremy... So what blend will we be having today then?" he ventured, trying to make light conversation.

Jeremy looked over at Johnathan as he started, and sighed, shaking his head slowly. "You really should learn to calm down Mr. Spencer, it doesn't bo a man's heart any good to be constantly on edge like that, now sit down and drink your tea... when it's made of course."
As he said that, he trned his gaze to Angelina whilst his lips curled upward into a smile.

Springboard Plots « Result #12 on Sept 20, 2009, 9:14am »
Good day forumites, your friendly assistant admin here , finally back and paying attention, heh.
I've been meaning to put this up for a while now and just decided it was about time to do so. With most of you settled in to some personally centred mini-plots (which I will get around to replying to the ones I'm in, honest ) I think it's time to put up the first couple of world-based plot boards. Carvy and I have been discussing these for a while and we have to very different ideas, both of which should hopefully have an opener within the next... while.
The first, if anyone has read 'The Forum's' article about Crimson Night, one of the resident bands within the setting, will be a concert being held at the City's university campus, making this a good springboard for the younger, hipper members of out varied cast (sorry Danov ) to meet and greet and get to interact in some form of coherent plot.
The second is a much less high-octane affair, as one of the owner's of a stately home on the city's outskirts has opened her estate to the public, for a reasonable price of course, to fund restoration work and other household expenses. This is not meant to exclude any style of character of course, think of it like touring any other home of this sort, the prices are never unreasonable, hehe. This particular home contains all sorts of interesting articles and locations, as well as extensive grounds to suit anyone's tastes (I hope).
These descriptions may seem fairly lame at first, but there are plans to make them interesting and exciting, I promise ^^;. As for who is 'running' each plot, I will be taking the manor plotline, and Carvy and I still need to discuss ownership rights to the concert, we'll let you know when we've come to a decision on that. I might see about getting the first manor post up by this adternoon/evening, if not then Monday. Sorry for the delay .
N.B. Re: The creation of one's own threads, if you want to do a personal centric plot for one of your characters you are free to do so, you can put up a general guideline in the Plot Ideas board if you'd like to see about interest for taking part, or just post it up and se who bites . The exception to this are what I wll call 'metaplot' threads, anything that affects the setting as a whole and centres around multiple characters who are not your own. We are MORE than happy to receive ideas from you guys for these sorts of things, preferably by PM just to keep any spoilers away from the other people who would be participating . If you do not want to run the plotline yourself, one of the admins will be happy to take up a good, interesting sounding plot for you, so you can even take part yourself if you want. Of course, the standard rule of roleplaying applies here, if you are playin one of your characters in a plot of your design, the admin running it will be free to change anything to better fit the vision and direction the setting is currently heading in, and anything you know, or think you know, about the direction of the plot should be forgotten, for your enjoyment as well as everyone else's. Apologies to those who know this already, but I like to make sure we're clear on things here ^^
Okay, I think that's all that needs to be said on this issue, and don't worry there will be a direction that we start taking this board eventually in terms of developing some interesting plotlines ^.~

Laura looked up at the door, then back down at Darlah, then back at the door. "Ya know, if ya wanna shelter from the rain you could just hang out in the shop for a bit... I got glitter all over the counter now."

Darlah looked rather relieved asshe hid there, trying her best to remain as quiet as possible. Of course, as nervous as she seemed to be, it wouldn't be too far off the mark to assume that there was a bit of sweat mixed in with the beads of rainwater that covered her entire form. And just who knew how long she'd stay in that spot, too!
