"Well at the very least it will keep me away from the teeth and claws." Lee-Ben jokes, still unsure about the sanity of this plan. Seeking to follow by example, Lee-Ben reaches for Alard's wrist and seizes a handful of fur as he pulls himself up onto Rielach's back. "I'll assume you've done this before?" He asks, to both mount and rider.

Hoisting Lee-Ben up onto Rielach's back, Alard patted the beasts side again, he wasn't sure how it would take to such treatment, but it seemed as good a way as any to show his appreciation for the eidolon's patience. He places his hand on the side of Rielach's neck and tenses his legs, it was very different from riding a horse, and he had to admit he wasn't that experienced with that either. However, these were desperate times.
"Learn by doing," was all he said, before nodding firmly, "Rielach, follow the river!" he then gestured in the direction that civilisation had been indicated to lie in... and clung on.

Rielach tensed before beginning a run in the typical canine fashion, by throwing himself in a controlled dive in the rough direction intended, before recovering his stride and conducting abounding leap through the dense foliage and rocky debris that littered the riverside. The motion of his movement was disconcerting for the riders, as it was completely different to that of a horse, if not completely alien to anyone that had little horse riding experience.

Nix blinked slowly, not sure if she was comforted by the knowledge that she at least retained something. Easing herself out of the stance, she looked over at the young man holding his hand out. "Do you mind if I do it? It may... Help."

The silk, once wetted with the copious amounts of water in the area, allowed Nix to remove the vast quantities of mud and grit from the blade, five minutes work getting the weapon a perfect, mirror clean finish.

Not arguing after witnessing the sudden sword-fu display he passed her the cloth, once she was done he pointed at the blade, "Well now you can at least know what you look like."

Gripping tightly onto Rielach's hide (fur certainly didn't seem to completely fit), Lee-Ben smiles ruefully, the motion of the beast between his legs very quickly beginning to make him feel sick, stealing away his ability to reply with a witticism.
