CHARACTER SHEET
Name: Laura Parsons
Pronunciation: Law-Rah
Aliases: None
Age: 17
Birthday: February 27th
Species (Subspecies): Human (Necromancer)
Location: The Suburbs
Significant Other: Emiko Hasumara
Pets: Mister Tiddles, her pet snake and Cuddles the zombie cat
---
Physical Description: About 5'5" and slightly built, Laura is your relatively average teen. Complaining her nose is too big, her breasts are too small and her ass is too big; she is to be honest relatively average (with an admittedly slightly larger then norm nose.) She has black frizzy hair which is usually pulled back into a ponytail, a couple of bangs left free but kept out of her face by the chunky black glasses she wears, making her grey eyes appear larger then normal as well. Dressing in gothic styles, she favours t-shirts and knee length skirts accompanied by stripy tights and chunky boots.
Personality: Given what her profession entails, Laura has a somewhat bland view of life and death, usually causing offence by accident with her off hand way of referring to it. One of her favourite pastimes is trying to arrange grave robbing parties with her friends Elizabeth and Emiko, which so far has yet to be successful; another is scaring people with the fact that when out and about her pet snake 'Mister Tiddles' tends to ride around with her just below the neckline. Generally friendly, she is happy-go-lucky and in another life would have made a very good mad scientist, something she is highly aware of in her attempts to purchase a white lab coat that fastens up to the neck.
History: Born to 'incredibly dull' parents, Laura was an intelligent, albeit eccentric; child. Her father a civil servant and her mother a housewife who's greatest joy in life is Tupperware parties, the young girl turned to books for the interactions she wanted.
The major turning point in her life came at the age of ten after her baby sitter's cat died and Laura remembered the book Frankenstein. Heading to the local second-hand bookshop to find a copy and attempt to glean the methodology from it, she instead stumbled upon a basic Necromantic text. Unable to understand most of it, Laura still managed to show enough natural talent and aptitude to successfully raise Cuddles from the dead.
Given the reaction she received, mainly from seeing the cat alive but still partially decomposed, the girl never came back. Laura decided it was best to leave the cat in the basement, where her parents never ventured; and took it upon herself to experiment. Several grave robbings later and the young girl discovered that whilst she seemed very good at raising zombies, she failed utterly at controlling them. Luckily, she happens to live next door to Jeremy Fox, a member of the Inner Circle of the Mages Council who not only managed to get rid of the zombies but promised her one thing she desired greatly. Knowledge, specifically of the zombie controlling type and other things.
At the age of seventeen she has come into her own, currently petitioning the Council for a research grant into actually achieving resurrection. In her words "It was that or cure cancer."
